The Yamula Dam is located on the river Halys (Kizilirmak) in Kayseri in the Central Anatolia region. The site, including irrigation areas, is located 25 km northeast of city of Kayseri within the vicinity of the village of Yemliha at 35º 06´ - 35 º 09´east longitudes and 38º 24´ - 39º 06´ north latitude.
