Ayen Enerji A.Ş

With the new opportunities envisaged in the active scenario of Albanian government for National Energy Strategy, Fani i Madh & Fani i Vogel Hydro Power Plant project, is one of the projects procured in compliance with the strategy of Albanian government for development of the power sector. In 2009, Albanian government tendered the concession of Fani i Madh & Fani i Vogel in Puke and Mirdite districts for exploitation of hydro energy capabilities.

The project was granted to the Joint-Stock company “Ayen AS Energji” owned by the Turkish companies Ayen Enerji Co. Inc, Ayel Elektrik Üretim Sanayi Ve Ticaret A.Ş., Fahrettin Amir and partners and Albanian company AS Energy with 82, 8, 1 and 9% shares, respectively. In May 2011, Ayen AS Energji signed the Building Operation Transfer contract with the Albanian Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy for the construction and operation of three run-off river and one dam storage hydropower plants through a concession period of 35 years and preliminary costs of 142.5 million Euros. On December 20th of 2012, the National Council of Territory Regulation approved the construction of the Hydro Power plants on Fani i Madh and Fani i Vogel rivers.
